Ghouls at Grassmere

We had the biggest time going to the Nashville Zoo on Saturday evening. Kristin and I took the kids last year and this year we asked Amity to go with us and I was so tickled that she said yes. Preston I think had a ball.
Addie and Preston before the Ghouls at Grassmere event. Addie was Cinderella and Preston was a tree frog!! He loves frogs.
Such a cute little frog!

Kristin in costume

The two Cinderellas. Grace and Addie both went as her.

The group at the beginning of the evening!!

Hunter with his monster face painted.

Preston, Hunter, and Addie on the hayride. I think Addie decided she liked Hunter and she chased him most of the evening. At one point he said, "Addie get away from me."

Sweet Grace

They got to paint/decorate a pumpkin

Amity on her bird!! Don't let me take a picture of you if you don't want it on the blog!! Ha, revenge is coming for me I know.

Addie with her witch finger!!

Addie got a few minutes to cut a rug dancing at the Zoo.

I love me some Halloween!!!

Anyone that knows me well knows that I love Halloween!!! Yes mom, I know it is a holiday based on spirits and witches, BUT I only love it because you gave me such a great childhood. I do, I really love it. I love decorating for it, I love these cooler, crisp fall days, I love the food too, and the colors (maybe b/c I am a redhead and they are my colors) the purples, browns, and oranges. I just love fall and Halloween!!! I will always cherish my "sisterhood days" with Dwinna, Laura, and Christy at MTSU homecoming in 1996: "I love sisterhood." ha ha!! I will never forget trick or treating with Mandy and Monica in the refrigerator box that was decorated like a monster thanks to Manders and Nicholas. Remember falling down the stairs at your neighbors?? Poor Monica was on the bottom of us and we couldn't stop laughing long enough to try to get up!!! Good times, good times.

I made the Pumpkin Bread pudding with pecan caramel sauce out of this months Southern Living, so yummy!!!

My ultimate staple this October: Candy Corn!!! Who could not like such a candy??? Chris hates it, but Claire loves it.

I decorated for Halloween yesterday and came across these candy dishes that were my grandmother Naron's. I was so excited to clean them up and put them in my kitchen. Sherri and Nat do you recognize these?? Of course they are full of candy corn : )

More decorations

I purchased these at Williams Sonoma, they are pancake molds, a pumpkin and a skull of course. It was fun making these with Addie.

Claire got the skull and Addie got the pumpkin.

Animal House Open House

Claire at the open house we had at the clinic this past Saturday.
Addie loves her some corn hole!!! She was pretty good at it, of course we let her stand pretty close to the hole.
Katie, Brandon, Larissa, Larry Dale and Addie playing corn hole.
These cupcakes were some that Susie's friend made. They were so cute.

Sisters

Addie and Claire never cease to amaze me or make me not want to take pictures of them. These were taken yesterday in their matching pjs. For some reason Claire never wants to sit in Addie's lap for a photo op, so she is always on the go!!

These pictures of you two hugging makes me tear up!! Claire and Addie had shots last Monday and I took these when we got home. Addie screamed and panicked in hysterics while getting her flu shot. I had to have Nanny there for backup to take care of Claire while I held Addie down!! This picture was so sweet because Claire went up to Addie and hugged her when we got home. It was like she was trying to comfort Addie : )

"Humm, there are no outlet covers on these..."

My return Home

After returning from Utah I got home on Friday night around 10pm only to find little Addie in my bed next to her daddy. So much for sleeping in my own bed. Well the next morning she
came into her room to find me and kissed and hugged me and then asked, "Where are all my prizes." That is what she calls surprises. So we started digging thru my suitcases to find all her treasures.

These are her pink furry boots.

She found my hat and scarf I bought for me and she decided to start modeling.

My headband that I bought, which will be hers because it looks better on her and she hasn't taken it off much since I came home.

The apron I got on my trip.
