I love this man

So can you believe this manly man knows how to do braids?? I should tell you why. Chris has had lots of practice before his girls came along from braiding horses hair to keep the catheters in their necks. I think he said the girls at work laugh at him because he does the prettiest braid of anyone at work. I love to see him with his girls, and YES Chris one of them will go hunting with you, I just know it!!

The finished product!!!!!!! Addie's braid

So I really want to share this song, soo powerful and with Easter coming it is one of my favorite songs.

Sunday morning

My sweet Easter bunny girls. After having two kids, how long will it be before they both will look at the camera?? Claire wonders what are on her feet, shoes??

Finally a smile!!

Spring in Franklin on Saturday

So this girlie loves her some tulips!!

Addie's favorite pasttime is to blow the daffodils.

More Pictures in Franklin

Yesterday the girls and I stopped in to The Factory, mainly the Little Cottage. If you know me well, you know I LOVE this store, probably more than I should. It is a children's clothing store and I can spend an hour in there and not see everything. We stopped by there yesterday to get a few easter items.

I love this picture!!! Claire cracks me up looking at this mannequin!! Addie wanted to hug the bunny and Claire is thinking, "What or who is this? And why does Addie get to sit by the nice soft bunny and I am by this weird looking dude?"

Our short lived visit with Grandpa. We were waiting on Claire to get up from a 3 hour nap yesterday and we finally had to wake her up before the Tornado warnings hit in Franklin. So, we stopped by to see Grandpa at his condo and waited out the hailing/sirens sounding storm.

This one really captures Addie!! Who acted like a crazy person and had to show out because she hadn't seen Grandpa in a while!!!

So, I HATE this picture of me, but Addie had to take a picture of me with Nana. My friend Georgie always reminds me to take more pictures of myself, so here it is. Even though I HATE it, I need the memories right? Maybe one day I will look back and say, "Wow, I sure did loose a lot of weight since March of 2009." My dream anyway..., I am a good example that a little lady like my mom can have a tall/large child!!

St. Jude's Trike-a-thon

Addie had her St. Jude's fundraiser at preschool yesterday. They did a trike-a-thon ride around some cones to do laps and raise money for the children at St. Jude's Childrens hospital. Addie had so much fun riding and she did really well. She got done and got in the car and said, "Mom, we must pray for the sick children every night that are in the hospital at St. Jude's." I think Ms. Esther did a good job explaining the reason behind the trike-a-thon.

Addie is ready to take off!!!

Look at this little Hottie cheering on her big sister!!

Spring in Clarksville

My pictures really do not do these cherry trees justice!!
These trees are on Madison Street in front of Barksdale Elementary and I just love them!! Every spring I see them and want a picture, but this year after 7 years I finally stopped to do just that. Chris came home Tuesday, the day I took these pictures and said, "What kind of cherry trees are those in front of Barksdale b/c I really would like some at our new house." Kind of ironic, but if you live in Clarksville go look at these trees they are amazing!!

Scotchbroom right?
Love these too!! A new beginning, God just speaks LIFE thru these plants, who would want to live anywhere but Tennessee??

Claire Bear and Lulu at 8 months (late)

Claire bear with Lulu at 8 and 1/2 months. A little late on the photo. But look at you girlie you can sit up on your own now!! I never thought it would happen!!

I love you girlie

Friends are a Blessing

Addie has been attending preschool this past year at Cumberland Presb. Church in Clarksville off of Madison St. and she loves it. Well the biggest reason she loves it is b/c of her best bud Cameron. She talks about Cameron constantly when she is home and she keeps saying, "Mom we must have Cameron over to my house to play Leona and Alexa from Diamond Castle." Well, here they are all dressed up today at Cameron's house as Alexa and Leona, the two Diamond Castle Barbies!!!

Just beautiful girls, "If I could wish for one dream..."

Happy St. Patrick's Day

My two irish girls.

I picked Addie up from preschool today and she had a St. Patty's Day party and made her hat.

I took Addie to Chick-fil-a for some green ice cream as a special irish treat.

Of course baby Claire had to have some!!! It is so good she says, that she has to close her eyes while tasting her first ice cream.

"I loved it, more please!"

The Buttercups are here!!

Can I even tell you how much this girl loves her Pap? We drove down to Dover on Monday for Mommy to pick out bathroom countertops and check on the closets being made. They are done and look fabulous!! Thanks Wade!! Anyway, I decided to drive over to Wilson Hollow farm and let Addie out to pick buttercups. When we pulled up she was so excited to see them. She started to pick them from right underneath the flower and I tried to explain to pick the stem, but she just wasn't getting it. Then we heard a tractor come up over the hill and it was Pap!! She screamed, "It's Pap mom, it's Pap." Followed by some jumping up and down!! Wow, does he even know the impact he has on my little angel??? So Pap of course got off the tractor and ran to meet little Addie and got his pocket knife out to cut her some long buttercups. She came home with MANY!!!

Look at these buttercups!!

Her prize bouquet!!!

She loves the great outdoors!!

Yesterday meeting Ms. Margaret

Yesterday it was so beautiful outside and it was over 70 degrees. So, the girls and I went for a walk and Addie pushed Claire in the stroller, but she needed to go in for a nap after a few minutes. We went up West Park Drive with the stroller and just happenned to stop and talk to Ms. Margaret taking her trash can to the road. We spoke about the weather and how nice it was and then we introduced ourselves. She said she and her husband have lived up the road for many, many years. It turns out he was a plumber and at one time had worked on our kitchen. She stated that 3 and 1/2 years ago her husband went in for knee replacement surgery on both knees, had a stroke and never recovered. He is now paralyzed and in a wheelchair unable to speak. She said he would love to meet the girls sometime. I knew Claire needed a nap so we didn't go in, but I want to let the girls meet him soon. You never know what tomorrow holds for us. This lady is homebound with her husband and is his fulltime caregiver. I truely think the Lord meant for us to meet yesterday. I just think in today's society we never stop long enough to get to know our neighbors and show someone we care and I am the perfect example.

These "flowers"-weeds rather were my favorite flower when I was a little girl. I just thought that they were so beautiful and I would pick them on the playground with friends or in my own backyard at home. My mother probably thought I was crazy to like them soo much, but I loved the color purple as a child and when I would see these I would have to pick them, bring them inside and put them in a cup of water. It was a special memory/reliving childhood yesterday when Addie said, "Mom, look at these beautiful flowers." We picked them and she put them in her Dora backpack!!! Claire missed all the action because she was napping.
Addie with her weeds

These pictures we took Sunday when we were getting the girls ready for bed. I live to see these two together!! They are MOST of the time true JOYS!!! Doesn't Claire look like a Naron baby?

She cracks me up!!

Cheezing for the camera!!!

The Past Few Days

The Easter dresses have arrived!!!!! So, let me tell you the story behind these. These dresses are from a catalog that Aunt Sherri got and I get it in the mail. She calls one day and says, "Hey I want you to pick out matching easter dresses for the girls because I want to get them their dresses this year. Well, I was excited about that, but didn't want Sherri to spend the money. Then my friend Linda said, "Kim, don't steal her joy. She wants to do that for them, let her." So, I called Sherri and we "discussed" our favorites out of the catalog and we picked these. She actually had them shipped to the house 2 days later. Addie adores hers and thinks she is "The Easter Princess"-wow, she has a lot to learn still about Easter. Claire's dress came too, but the wrong size so we received it in the mail just the other day, and still need to get photos of the little one in hers!!

Addie loves the flower on the front, her favorite part

So here they are. The one on the right was a 24month dress and Claire's that came in her right size is soo cute!! It is a little miny version of this one.

This is how I found my sweet baby after a nap on March 3rd, her 8 month birthday. Claire rolls over on her belly now and sucks that right thumb and falls asleep. This is one of the highlights/blessings of my days right now is to be greeted with this smile!! (Her Pooh Bear that Aunt Ronda gave her is a must for bedtime too.)

This year while being a stay at home mommy, I joined M.O.P.S international at our church. This is a support group for moms of preschool children. I have enjoyed getting to know other ladies in the community as well as moms at our church. This past Friday we played Family Feud, mommy style and Brother Tim our preschool/children's pastor is being the game show host and enjoyed it a little too much. Don't EVER give this man free access to a microphone!!!!!!!
