A Visit to Corinth

I can't believe the difference in 1 year!! This is Nana with the grandbabies at Aunt Sherri and Uncle Mike's house this past weekend. You must look at the last post to see how much they have all grown!! Time flies when you are raising children.

Nat with little Easton. He was so much fun to watch this weekend. He is walking everywhere!! I hope it rubs off on baby Claire. He loves to say puppy, baby (which he kept calling Claire that, even though they are 10 weeks apart), Nana, and bye bye.

Aunt Sherri with baby Claire

Sherri bought Addie this Cinderella costume and they played dress up on Sunday. She gave her a bubble bath, then fixed her hair and makeup and put her into her dress. Addie said she felt so beautiful, and I think I have her convinced that she is going to be Cinderella for Halloween, SWEET!!!!
We had such an awesome time and thanks to Uncle Mike for all of these photos.

Aunt Sherri did Addie's hair and makeup and Addie thought she was hot stuff!!

Wicked on Broadway

We went with Bert and Georgie to see the Broadway musical Wicked. Georgie called me several months ago to go see it and I said sure. I had heard that it was really good, but didn't know the story line at all. Of course in asking people at church that had seen it 5 times, they laughed at me and told me it was the story about the witches from the Wizard of Oz before the movie. It was really a cute and cleaver story and the talent of the women singing in that play, WOW!!!

We went to eat at Maggiano's in Nashville before the play. We had reservations at 5pm and thought, that will be plenty of time to eat if Wicked is at 7pm. Well, we had to hurry to get there probably because Chris and I took a while picking what we wanted to eat. That place was amazing and so much food!!! You must go eat there if you haven't been and go with at least 4 people so you can eat family style, so yummy. Or we were running late b/c when I am with Georgie we talk non-stop and 2 hours feels like 15 minutes!! We had to race to TPAC and we made the guys park so we wouldn't miss the beginning!!
Bert and Georgie

Wicked!!! If ever the opportunity, go see it you won't be disappointed!! Even Chris said he really liked it.

Beth Mooreism for the day

So, here it is Wednesday and I have just done day 1 of my 5 days of homework. Oh well, not off to a good start but it was good reading her study tonight.
Day 1 is about Luke 1:1-18, Zechariah who was the priest and the older man who was to father John the Baptist very late in his lifetime. Zechariah and Elisabeth had tried for years to have a baby and never could.
Beth points out in her Bible study that Zechariah is not a character in a fiction novel. He was a real man who sought to serve a real God even in the midst of unanswered prayers, mystifying disappointments, personal weakness, mundane daily rituals, and anxiety-causing responsibilities. Can anyone of us relate? If so, a great adventure lies ahead of us in God's Word. Many noble things vie for our time, but nothing will affect our lives and the lives of those around us more powerfully and positively than an in-depth study of God's word.
**Lord, this is my prayer!! Just please don't silence me for 9 months!! Wonder if that was nice for Elisabeth to get a break from her husband talking...........ha just a thought!

Today is a Monday!!

Well Claire is getting over a runny nose, cough thing and every time I go to lay her down in her crib she screams b/c she can't go to sleep sucking her thumb b/c she can't breathe!! The child has hardly taken any naps the past 3 days and Addie is supposed to be napping, but I can hear her singing in her bed!! This post will be short I am sure!!
Last night I started a new bible study at church. Beth Moore's Jesus the One and Only. I was the last one to get into the classroom of course so I have to go get the homework/study guide at Lifeway, which is not that easy all the way out here in Indian Mound!! One interesting thing it was talking about was that the children of Israel did not hear from God for over 400 years. Can you even imagine that? Until the birth of baby Jesus they had not heard a word. She mentioned how God will put a famine in our lives to produce a hunger for his Word.
I feel like I have had some famine in my life NOT food related that is for sure (I could use some of that though) so here we go with my Beth Moore Bible study, it has been over a year since I have done one!! Pray I can keep up with her homework.
She made a neat point: time doesn't go it comes.

Prayer for my sweet childhood friend/really from birth, Alison. This past week she lost her sweet Aunt Lynnie that was so close to her, almost a second mother. Pray for God's hand to be over her and her family and to bring them comfort in their time of loss! I know her family would covet your prayers. I love you Alison.

September is Dove Season

Addie Lewis truly is her daddy's child!! Not only does she look like him, but she loves to put on some camo and watch him shoot his guns!!
I think she needs her own size shirt!!

The poor little dove. Addie thought it was real cool that she got to hold it. Then when Chris skinned it she realized it was dead and she came into the house screaming and crying that daddy had killed the poor little bird. NOT so sure she is ready to be a hunter.

A day at the Nashville Zoo
