Anyone that knows me well knows that I love Halloween!!! Yes mom, I know it is a holiday based on spirits and witches, BUT I only love it because you gave me such a great childhood. I do, I really love it. I love decorating for it, I love these cooler, crisp fall days, I love the food too, and the colors (maybe b/c I am a redhead and they are my colors) the purples, browns, and oranges. I just love fall and Halloween!!! I will always cherish my "sisterhood days" with Dwinna, Laura, and Christy at MTSU homecoming in 1996: "I love sisterhood." ha ha!! I will never forget trick or treating with Mandy and Monica in the refrigerator box that was decorated like a monster thanks to Manders and Nicholas. Remember falling down the stairs at your neighbors?? Poor Monica was on the bottom of us and we couldn't stop laughing long enough to try to get up!!! Good times, good times.
I made the Pumpkin Bread pudding with pecan caramel sauce out of this months Southern Living, so yummy!!!
My ultimate staple this October: Candy Corn!!! Who could not like such a candy??? Chris hates it, but Claire loves it.
I decorated for Halloween yesterday and came across these candy dishes that were my grandmother Naron's. I was so excited to clean them up and put them in my kitchen. Sherri and Nat do you recognize these?? Of course they are full of candy corn : )
Oh look, another picture of Addie not looking at the camera! STINKER!!!
ReplyDeleteGirl, Easton can tear him up some candy corn too. The boy is a Naron for SURE!
Yeah, i remember those candy dishes. Didn't they used to have that nasty hard candy in them that had been in there for like 15 years and all stuck together but granddaddy would eat it anyway??
