Beth Mooreism for the day

So, here it is Wednesday and I have just done day 1 of my 5 days of homework. Oh well, not off to a good start but it was good reading her study tonight.
Day 1 is about Luke 1:1-18, Zechariah who was the priest and the older man who was to father John the Baptist very late in his lifetime. Zechariah and Elisabeth had tried for years to have a baby and never could.
Beth points out in her Bible study that Zechariah is not a character in a fiction novel. He was a real man who sought to serve a real God even in the midst of unanswered prayers, mystifying disappointments, personal weakness, mundane daily rituals, and anxiety-causing responsibilities. Can anyone of us relate? If so, a great adventure lies ahead of us in God's Word. Many noble things vie for our time, but nothing will affect our lives and the lives of those around us more powerfully and positively than an in-depth study of God's word.
**Lord, this is my prayer!! Just please don't silence me for 9 months!! Wonder if that was nice for Elisabeth to get a break from her husband talking...........ha just a thought!
